Often times, we equate a larger group of women to being more difficult to approach. While it may seem more difficult to handle a gaggle of girls, it’s actually not so different from dealing with a lone girl. Whether you’re approaching a single set or a group set, the goal is for you to lead the interaction. The two most important elements to approaching a group of girls are: energy and crowd control. The larger the set of girls, the more energy you have to input in order to maintain the group’s interest long enough that you can start to isolate and concentrate on the girl you’re interested in. With crowd control, you have to rhythmically look and talk to each individual person in the group much like following the bouncing ball in karaoke. You speak to each person in turn until you come full circle. In this manner, you keep the individual and thus the group invested into listening to you. Leading the interaction begins the moment you decide to approach. Your body language and the words you use should convey confidence. An example of confident body language is when you’re not slouching, your hand gestures have a purpose when you speak, you aren’t afraid to touch, and you’re able to maintain good eye contact. Confidence is also conveyed when you’re able to verbally make commands in a socially acceptable manner. An example of this is to have a girl tell you a joke, give you her number, invite her out to a club, or anything that verbally tests for compliance. Not only is this a great way to see if she likes you, but it also keeps the interaction moving forward. In a group setting, you want to make sure the girl you’re interested in is clear. Essentially, the friends of the girl you’re interested in will metaphorically cheer you on if they like you. This is why it’s important to lead the interaction in a way where you’re escalating physically with the girl you’re interested in, while having a good rapport with the friends. It’s important to note that you should always maintain a positive energy, and you should also expect to do most of the talking early on. In a group, you’re seen as the outsider and if you don’t add any value to the interaction, you’ll easily be shut out. This is why you should smile, be ready to create fun, and always lead the interaction. With so many things to concentrate on, it can be hard to picture how to do all of these things at the same time, without looking like your are trying to hard.
